Inspired by a metropolitan Paris piece, ca. 1755, this chest employs low relief scroll and leaf carvings on drawers and a center cartouche with lock and escutcheon. The front is both serpentine and bombe. Posts reiterate the cartouche with a center cabochon-like the drawers. Hand carved of Walnut solids with Walnut veneers.
