It is a difficult, time-consuming process to create a substrate of fluting on any surface and particularly challenging on a circular shape. Once achieved, brass sheeting is painstakingly hand folded into each edge creating a crisp fluted surface. The coup de grace is the large piece of quartz displayed in the table's base.
