The Sarto Glass Vase is an extremely heavy work of art that is hard-won by glass-blowers because the thickness of the glass makes it challenging for the lungs. The multicolored vase can only be accomplished when two glass artisans work in concert: as the glass blower is slowly creating the shape of the vase, the other artisan is “painting” textural swirls onto its surface.
